So close! You can do it!💯

🤔 This completely makes sense with what was happening around me but couldn't see, although I was completely behind the need to fix the "horizontal infrastructure" when SOME people were complaining about a lack of above ground progress! If you've ever been involved in a new building project (or repairing a munted EQ damaged house❓) you know what is important to get done before you start - cheaper and easier apart from anything else 🤷

Good luck with your thesis 👍🤗

Good luck in advance for the review (one shot it?) and your defense.

Also thoroughly agree re your thesis. For now it is important and you are the only one who can give it all the attention it needs (and it is a drag - but worth it). Kia haha

Really enjoyed your analysis. It rings very true. Its completely consistent with what was seen i n case studies of notorious failed ICT projects over the last three decades (think INCIS and Novopay)

I wonder if part of this story is about the importance of local advocacy for developing strong cities. The tension between the Nation state and internal city states.

I wonder, do Neoliberals want a central but weak state vs strong cities? The later likely has more governance and decision making layers and thus more difficult for wealthly individual groups to influence.
